Doors
I just got this message pinned to my FB wall – “Everything in life happens for a reason. God doesn’t close one door without opening another one. Just prepare for what you pray for. Love, and have faith in God.”
Isn’t that the truth?
This is proven in our lives almost daily. God opens doors that no man can shut. He also closes doors that no man can open again. Doors to me are the gateways between seasons and as it says in Ecclesiastes 3:1-8 There is A Time for Everything
“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace.”
Maybe it’s one of these times in your life right now? Maybe the Lord is closing an old door and opening a new one for you? We know that we know that He is doing just that for us right now. God has moved us 150 miles to a new church. Why? We’re not very sure at the moment but we have total peace about it because we know this move and this change is because He has closed an old door and He is opening up new doors for us. We will walk through them without fear as we know that our Father is in it; He has His mighty hand on us, and He has something new for us to do in and for His Kingdom.
Always remember – “God’s strength is enough to fight and win our battles. God’s riches are enough to supply our needs. God’s wisdom is enough to teach and direct us. Most of all, God’s love is more than enough for all of us.” – Anon. So whatever new door is opening for you, trust God and walk through that door in faith – knowing that God is your loving heavenly Father and He will not lead you anywhere bad because He has a plan “for your good, to prosper you not to harm you.” Jeremiah 29:11
We are joyful that a new season has begun and we are prepared for that for which we have prayed. We are also praying simply for God’s will in all things and for His leading daily.
How about you? Don’t say, “It’s all right for you . . . . . “ because we are in the same boat as many of you. We, too, have our problems, our share of hardships, but we have learned to simply believe that “we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him” Romans 8:28 and to “give all your cares to Him because He cares for you” 1 Peter 5:7
Which door is the Lord opening for you today?
