RoFMI Visit Report to Holland January 2010

Off again – this time to Wieringerwerf in Holland to the home of Jan & Grada (or Grace) van Damme. Another visit to Holland? So soon after the first one? Its February 4th – how come this is our 5th official RoFMI visit this year? There is only one possible answer to that – when the Lord tells us to go – we go. So it was that at the very civilised hour of 4:15 P.M. Peter, John, & myself, Chris, once more set off for Stansted Airport in order to catch the 18:50 flight this time to Amsterdam and arriving there at 20:55.We came out at exit 3 into a barn of an arrivals hall only to discover the arrivals board saying we would come out at exit 4 so off we all went to find our host Jan van Damme waiting for us at the “correct” meeting point. About an hour later we arrived at the van Damme’s farm in Wieringerwerf some 70km from Amsterdam in the far North of the country. There we met Grace and Mascha (pronounced almost like Marcia) – their eldest daughter.

Over some very welcome soup – SOUP???? First soup I ever saw with half the national vegetable harvest plus noodles and meat balls in it !! – soup and biscuits we started what became a nightly interlude. Words of prophecy and Words of Knowledge started to come about 15 minutes after we arrived and many previous prophecies were confirmed and re-ignited. There were words for Jan & Grada (Jan & Grace – boy this is gonna get confusing but more of that later) – words for Mascha and her husband John-Rudolph as well as prayers for all of them plus the children Joshua and Deborah (asleep upstairs) There were also words of more general prophecy for their church; for Holland; and a time of wonderful warm fellowship which ended when we fell into bed around 2:00a.m. There were words about revival coming to Holland & Europe BEFORE UK; and through small unknown ministries and churches and people. “The candlestick is being taken from the big ministries and given back to the unknown ones”.

Saturday dawned cold and misty (sea mist) – well this is sort of Central Western Europe in winter so you didn’t expect sunshine – right?? Jan & Grace took us for a rare treat as he gave us a tour of the locality – something we normally don’t have time for. We went to all the nearby villages and even found a local moated castle – very touristy – and ended up at a wonderful cake shop. Why does this always happen to us – we try so hard not to be food magnets but hey – someone has to do it. The tour took in the famous dykes which were built to eject the sea and build up the Dutch ‘Polders’ – land reclaimed from the sea and usually a couple of metres below sea level. We eventually wandered back home where Joshua and Deborah had arrived home from school. After a late meal, we went over the ‘farmyard’ (now a car park) to the church in a corner of one of their two vast barns. What a site they have there !! Immediately the Lord gave us visions and words for this site – conference centre with TV studio for 1500 people in one barn; healing centre and training school in the other one; helipad . . . and so on. Much of what we spoke out was confirmation but much was also new and the delighted van Damme family were all praising God with us.

Then it was time for the Friday evening meeting as at 7:30p.m. about 30 faithful souls assembled. Peter spoke on Acts 3:1-10 and we prayed for and gave words to all present. The presence of the Holy Spirit was very obvious to all as we praised and worshipped the Lord. Bed relatively early at 2:00a.m.

NB – I can only give you a brief précis of what went on – there is so much happening on these trips and much is very personal. All the above and we had barely been there 24 hours.

Saturday morning was free to spend with the family and after lunch we assembled once more in the church to meet with a couple of other local leaders plus our partners in Holland, John & Grada Hofman. (TWO couples both called John & Grada – hmm confusing so one couple is correctly spelt/called Jan & Grace – OK??) Ton & Yoka (actually spelled Joke) Zijp pastor a church in Den Helder, a few kilometres from Wieringerwerf and they received some very encouraging words before Ton spoke a word about “bringing the prophets together” and we started talking about a prophetic gathering we have already got in the diary for Norway in May. Ton and Yoka were invited to join us at this event. John & Grada (Hofman) also received words of encouragement and we had a good time of fellowship together before they had to get on the road once again. Ton and Yoka stayed on for a while longer and we had a great time together.

The evening fellowship, which started at 7:30p.m., was another session of wonderfully encouraging words of knowledge and prophecies for nearly all those present. Our John did a great intro, aided and abetted by Peter who kept telling him to “tell them about . . . .” and John related stories from our visits to other places – stories that raised people’s faith levels and encouraged many of them further. We seem to be able to reach many who are on the point of giving up their ministry and re-invigorating them or re-inspiring them with words of knowledge and prophecy. John related stories from Denmark, Spain, Belgium and the first visit to Holland just four weeks previously. During this meeting I also received from the Lord and realised that “problems” I have had recently have all been part of paying the price and the Lord crucifying my flesh – so I was more than encouraged too. We heard a word about live internet broadcasts and thoughts immediately went to the Bible School where the May prophetic event will be held and where they have these facilities. The Peter gave the most powerful word yet from Ezekiel 37 on how Holland is currently a “Valley of Dry Bones” where the Lord is going to bring together and breathe new life into those dry bones in Holland. He even prophesied the course that revival will take in terms of start and finish places and the path or route between them !! We ended by proclaiming it and calling in the people from North, South, East, and West. Amazingly powerful time. Bed at 2:30 a.m.

Feels like we’ve been here a week but its only Sunday. The 11a.m. meeting was very well attended again where I was called forward to introduce RoFMI but ended up prophesying to Jan & Grace. Peter then spoke on Amos 3:7 then 2 Kings 6:8-22 – how one man, Elisha, defeated the massed armies of a whole nation. He finished with this – “there is no more renewal for the church. You have had so much renewal and you have not taken it outside to the unsaved – so now I can only send revival.” Peter repeated that this will be a time of small ministries as so many of the big ones are corrupt and will fall in the shaking that is to come. Judgement begins in the House of the Lord – us – the church. Peter then went on to talk about Acts 1:8 and Acts 2:4

In the evening we were all driven by John-Rudolph (Marsha’s husband) to Amsterdam to a large church where there was a great healing meeting. It was wonderful with many healed – several getting out of wheelchairs !! Hallelujah \o/ After a final time of fellowship back at the farm we finally got to bed around 02:45 although someone had given his passport to me for safe keeping and spent a good while searching for it before waking me up to ask if I had it !!

So we rose again at 5:00a.m. for an early flight home to be met by Peters daughter Ruth and taken to his home for a final coffee before I drove myself the final 110km or 70+ miles home. I wondered how we could keep the hours and energy we manage on these visits. It has to be supernaturally supplied by the Lord – doesn’t it.

All GLORY to Him \o/ Amen?
