Raising Faith

Raise your Faith

Why is it that so many prophecies, so many healings, so many promises of God for our lives seem to slip through our fingers and go down the drain? Washed away by our hopeless tears or our unbelief or even by our disobedience and unforgiveness - why? I think there are many reasons but there are three major ones that stand above all others

Lack of faith can be seen in every church I have ever been in or visited. People just do not have faith for themselves. They have great faith for others – but “it’s probably not for me”, or “if God wills it”. Well, God wills it all through His Word yet people who claim to be a Bible believing people don’t just doubt His promises – they don’t believe them. There is no faith at all for healing nor for prophecy.

Ignorance of how to call them in is another reason. Most people who receive prophecy or prayer for healing treat it almost akin to fortune telling and they simply wait for it to happen. They do not realise that they must receive the prayer or prophecy in their hearts. They do not realise they must believe that they are healed or that the prophecy is for them personally. Then they must pray and ‘call in’ their healing or their prophecy – although prophecy is usually for some unspecified time in the future. Most do not realise their authority in Christ and do not even know that they can ‘speak that which is not as though it were’. In other words, once having been prayed for, they can claim it and pray it into being.

Unforgiveness is a major stumbling block. Does not the Word say not to “judge lest you be judged”, and that “as we judge so we will also be judged by the same measuring stick”. Unforgiveness is holding judgement of someone else’s wrongs against us. Holding such unforgiveness comes under the banner of “How can we be forgiven if we will not forgive” or “You have been forgiven much so you need also to forgive”. Once we forgive, we open the floodgates of healing and prophetic fulfillment. Ask the Lord to show any unforgiveness in your life - and then forgive them and mean it.

So - Lets us raise our faith levels. Have you any promises or prophecies which are as yet unfulfilled? It’s time to claim them. Have you received prayer for healing – yet nothing has happened? It’s time to claim your healing. It’s time to stand on the Word of God.

What does the Bible say about this? It says to lay hold of your promises for the promises of God are sure. “I am the Lord, your healer” “God is not a man that He should lie, nor the son of man that He should change His mind” He is the one who “forgives all our sins and heals all our diseases.” “By His stripes we are healed” – not may be healed or could be healed – we ARE healed.

Give testimony to your own and others healing, testimony that raises faith. The words that come to mind are Faith, Mustard seed, Mountains, GONE. Lay Hold of the Kingdom of God. “From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.” Matthew 11:12 (NIV) We need to lay hold of God’s Word, lay hold of His Kingdom, and lay hold of His promises, His prophecies, and His healing.

Raise your faith level – grow your mustard seed – speak to that mountain of unbelief – CLAIM your prophecies – CLAIM your healing. They are yours – God says so in His Word.

Lay hold of them and don’t let go until you get them.
