America - A Biblical Word for You

American Christians PLEASE Take Note

This message is as hard for me to write as it will be for many brothers and sisters, American Christians, to read. Yet write it I must. Yet, As the Lord commands me – so will I do.

There is a great murmuring throughout the land at this time. A murmuring and complaining against he whom the Lord has anointed to be your leader. Yes – oh yes – he is the Lords anointed. Listen to what Paul says to the church in Rome about such men as this.

Romans 13:1-2 (AMP) “LET EVERY person be loyally subject to the governing (civil) authorities. For there is no authority except from God [by His permission, His sanction], and those that exist do so by God's appointment. Therefore he who resists and sets himself up against the authorities resists what God has appointed and arranged [in divine order]. And those who resist will bring down judgment upon themselves [receiving the penalty due them].”

And again in Proverbs 8:15 (AMP) “By me kings reign and rulers decree justice.”

The Word of God says that He alone gives us our leaders. Maybe not the leaders we want. Maybe not the leaders we deserve – although that is debateable. Certainly God gives us, (He anoints), the leaders He wants us to have and who will serve His purposes for us and our nations. Read again those words from Paul – ‘NO authority except from God’; ‘by His permission, His sanction’; ‘and those that exist do so by God's appointment.’

Very powerful words, very carefully written so as to eliminate any mis-understanding on this.

Now read what David spoke about King Saul in 1 Samuel 24:5-7 (AMP)

“Afterward, David's heart smote him because he had cut off Saul's skirt. He said to his men, The Lord forbid that I should do this to my master, the Lord's anointed, to put my hand out against him, when he is the anointed of the Lord. So David checked his men with these words and did not let them rise against Saul. But Saul rose up and left the cave and went on his way.”

And again in 1 Samuel 26:10-12 (AMP)

“David said, As the Lord lives, [He] will smite him; or his day will come to die or he will go down in battle and perish. The Lord forbid that I should raise my hand against the Lord's anointed; but take now the spear that is at his head and the bottle of water, and let us go. So David took the spear and the bottle of water from Saul's head, and they got away.”

My dearest Christian brothers and sisters, these are not my words. They are God’s Word. If you are one, like me, who accepts the Bible as the inerrant Word of God, then you cannot pick and choose that which suits your perspective to believe or otherwise.

If God anoints and appoints our leaders, then we must not oppose them once they are crowned or in power. Remember what Gamaliel said to the Sanhedrin in Acts 5:39 “ But if it is from God, you will not be able to stop these men; you will only find yourselves fighting against God.”

So, dearest brothers and sisters Exodus 16:8 (AMP)

“And Moses said, [This will happen] when the Lord gives you in the evening flesh to eat and in the morning bread to the full, because the Lord has heard your grumblings which you murmur against Him; what are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against the Lord.”

PLEASE - Stop your murmuring and complaining for you do not complain about your leaders, you complain about the Lord. Rather, obey 1 Thessalonians 5:18 (NIVUK)

give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus.” I emphasize the “ALL circumstances”.

Do not lay hands on God’s anointed but pray for them and give them honour as God’s appointed leaders.
