A UK Opportunity to

Rebuild My House

Once again, yesterday, the Lord brought me to Haggai 1:2-6a “This is what the LORD Almighty says: “These people say, ‘The time has not yet come to rebuild the LORD’s house.’” Then the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai: “Is it a time for you yourselves to be living in your panelled houses, while this house remains a ruin?” Now this is what the LORD Almighty says: “Give careful thought to your ways. You have planted much, but harvested little.”

What a message to the Western church today !! The Word of God says it all. If only we have ears to hear and eyes to see, fearlessly and unfailingly, God speaks to us through His precious Word.

What are we doing with the House of the Lord? Today the Western Church is standing on the cusp of a great revival. To my own personal knowledge, the signs are there in Germany, UK, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Netherlands, and Belgium, that the Lord is beginning to move in mighty ways.

Following the lead given to us here in the UK by our Prime Minister and our Queen, the door has opened for the rest of us to preach the Gospel once again. Their courageous example has forced open a door which was closing fast under pressure from the politically correct among us. The Church now has an un-paralleled opportunity to take the Gospel out to the people of the UK and to start to rebuild God’s House once again.

The Church has suffered almost crippling damage recently and so has the cause of Jesus Christ. Partly political and partly self-inflicted damage, the courage of these two leaders – one our leading politician; the other our monarch and titular head of the Church of England and “defender of the faith” – has once again made a safe pathway for us to follow and win our land back from the enemy who has been slowly robbing us of our faith.

Once again we have the example and opportunity, maybe even the impetus, to present the Gospel to the ordinary man and woman on the streets of our land. Once again the Lord, through these two instruments of clay yet still of His Kingdom, the Lord has opened up an opportunity to rebuild His House. His Word even says that “'The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the LORD Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the LORD Almighty.” Haggai 2:9

I don’t know about the “these people” of Haggai 1:2, but this person says, “Surely, it is time to rebuild the House of the Lord and make it once more a place fit for His habitation.” And His Word promises that His glory will be there in greater measure than before – maybe then ever before.

Isn’t that something to aim for in 2012?

Haggai 2:1 & 6-9

The Promised Glory of the New House

“On the twenty-first day of the seventh month, the word of the LORD came through the prophet Haggai: “This is what the LORD Almighty says: 'In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and the earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake all nations, and the desired of all nations will come, and I will fill this house with glory,' says the LORD Almighty. 'The silver is mine and the gold is mine,' declares the LORD Almighty. 'The glory of this present house will be greater than the glory of the former house,' says the LORD Almighty. 'And in this place I will grant peace,' declares the LORD Almighty.”

AMEN??

  1. Chris, this may indeed be the year of revival! Many people are praying and seeking the LORD today. I pray that the spark is lit by the Holy Spirit in everyone of His children for a burning desire to see the house of the LORD increased. It MUST start with each and everyone of us, but count me in Brother! I want to go on THAT ride! :-) Blessings Chris!
