Dream and Pray BIG

Good Morning all - May God Bless you abundantly more than you can think or dream. Cup full, pressed down and running over. Amen

Thats what the Bible says in Ephesians 3:20 “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us,” (NIV-UK)

So – what does it all mean to you and me in our everyday lives?

Exactly what it says – in both parts of the sentence.

God is able to do so much more, immeasurably more than we can possible ask or even imagine. Isn’t that a staggering statement? But balance it please against the last part – “according to his power that is at work within us”.

We have to have a measure of faith when we ask. We are told to expect God to answer whenever we pray in faith. James 1:6-8 says, “But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.” Here I am translating ‘double minded man’ as one who says or professes one thing but actually only has faith to believe for something far less.

When God says that He will open the windows of heaven (Malachi 3:10 “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the LORD of hosts, “ If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”) then He means He will open the windows of heaven and POUR blessings on to us. What does that mean? Well it doesn’t mean He will let a tiny dribble of blessing come our way – unless of course we have only asked for a tiny dribble of blessing.

God loves those who think, dream, and ask BIG. It’s when we expect the most that God does the most. Expect little - receive little. Expect much & stand by for the avalanche of blessings ! Ask little and receive exactly what you asked. Ask big and expect the same – expect the windows of heaven to be opened and blessings to pour down upon you. You won’t have enough room for it all and then you’ll have to start giving it away again !!! Then there comes a bonus - Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.”

It’s a never ending cycle – “more than you can think or even imagine.”

If we are obedient and faithful to Him then He will fulfil His promises to us ‘more than we can think or even imagine’. Go for it – dream and pray BIG. God is bigger than anything you can dream. He can and will answer you according to the measure of faith you display towards Him.
