In the End . . . . .

In the end . . . . .

Have you ever really read the book of Revelation and just allowed God to take you where He took John?

Revelation 5:8-11 “The four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of God’s people.  And they sang a new song, saying: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased for God people from every tribe and language and people and nation. You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.” Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. “

What an amazing picture – and what amazing comments too. I see the Lamb, bloodied but un bowed. I see the creatures flying round the Lamb and round the throne. I see the twenty four elders, with harps and bowls full of incense, bowing before the Lamb. I even hear the ‘new song’, not quite Worthy is the Lamb,  sung by the heavenly choir. The picture is never ending, like a looping video or DVD. But, what about the  comments?

Can you imagine the prayers of the saints, God’s people, pouring as incense into the bowls of the elders? Can you see the Lamb slain for us, His Blood paying the price for our sins? Do you understand the concept that we are Kingdom People; that we are from every tongue, tribe, people, and nation – regardless of colour, wealth, education, or anything else that divides us here on earth? Do we really understand the inferences of us being ‘Kings and Priests’, serving our God, and reigning here on earth?

Finally, can we even imagine the sheer volume of noise as 100,000,000 angels, (that’s 10 thousand times 10 thousand), singing with us? Can we ever doubt that God can send legions of angels into any situation on our behalf? I am awestruck by the very thought of it all. The scene unfolding as the Lamb breaks the seals one by one and the resulting effect of each broken seal.

And to think, we have grandstand seats already booked to see this and watch it all unfold. Not that we’ll do much sitting as we will be worshipping with the elders and singing with the angels. Living today is like watching the events of Revelation become reality as the Lamb of God, the Lion of Judah, takes His place and fulfils His Father’s wishes for Himself and for us too. The Bride may not be particularly ready, but she is being prepared.

This is the second time I have been here. I actually had a vision about this last January. Not sure if I shared it here but surely the Lord does not show us these things twice unless He is preparing to do something. Something big?

Oh – Hallelujah \o/
