God Made Mondays as Well
“TGIF”
is the constant weekly cry of those with less hope and less vision and less
meaning in their life. It seems to be that so many folk only want to praise or
thank whoever or whatever their god is for two days when work is not the order
of the day. Their weekly wish list seems to revolve around the narcissistic
pleasures of their leisure time.
Oh
dear – heaven forfend that I should call all those who prefer leisure time and
weekends “narcissistic pleasure seekers”. Perhaps that was a little harsh, so
let me just say that if there is so much missing from their lives, then perhaps
they chase self-indulgence for their own pleasure.
Yes
indeed, Thank God it’s Friday, and thank God it’s Thursday or Tuesday or any
other day. You see, God made each and every day for us to enjoy Him as well as
enjoying our life. Yes – God actually made Mondays as well. He made Monday not
as a punishment for the ill-spent weekend and a return to the drudgery of work.
He made Monday as another day to bring Him glory by doing whatever work we have
as if we are doing it for Him personally.
