One World

End Times Again

Looking at the state of the word today, I am amazed at the accuracy of Biblical prophecy and the Biblical view of end times. Certainly there are prophecies of storms wars earthquakes and so on. There are also prophecies about people like the antichrist. So - think about this scenario for a moment or two.

In Genesis 11:1-9 we read the story of the tower of Babel. The people of the time had one language and presumably one ruler. However, God confused and dispersed them all over the world. God separated them by confusing their language and from that time each country spoke its own separate language.

Since that time also, Satan has been working to pull them all together again. He is trying to establish the whole world as “one country” with one political party, and

one party, and, most importantly, one leader.

One world, one government, one language, one world leader - these are all serious aims of Satan in establishing One World Order and in this way we see the Antichrist emerging. 1 and 2 John speaks of the antichrist and his coming. Current world events also point very clearly to the antichrist coming soon. The Tower of Babel appears to be re-establishing itself.

1 Cor 15:52-54 speaks of us being changed in the twinkling of an eye.

Matthew 24:30 speaks of Jesus coming in clouds of glory to collect His elect – His Bride.

These two scriptures are the ones used by those, including me, who believe in the rapture to describe the rapture as a separate event from Jesus returning in judgement at the end of the great tribulation. I cannot believe that the Lord will allow His Bride, the Church, to go through the tribulation, therefore I have to believe in pre-tribulation rapture as the event prophesied in Matthew 24:30

Church, everything possible is screaming about end times. In Matthew 24:1-31 Jesus talks much about it. Romans 8:22 says clearly “We know that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth right up to the present time.” Natural disasters, wars, threats of war, famines, even the weather all shout their warnings. If that isn’t enough Joel 2:28-32 tells of things already happening in many churches. Mini-revivals are springing up all over the world.

How many more signs do we need before we acknowledge that the end of the age is near?

  1. The signs are everywhere. For the most part I do not worry about them, for either the Lord will preserve His people through it, or take them home at some point...either way, we need to trust in Jesus to do the right thing...and He has never failed us...ever! Blessings!

  2. I think my point is this, El.
The number of Christians who believe as you and I do about signs of the times etc is relatively small. The rest, particularly the main stream churches (Catholic, Anglican, Episcopalian, Methodist, Lutheran, etc), are happy with the present status quo and seemingly place their heads firmly in the sand whenever any warning is sounded. My problem is that I believe I am supposed to be a watchman on the walls, as per Ezekiel, and if I don’t keep the warning going, many will die in their sin of disbelief. You know what the Lord says in Ezekiel about me if that happens and I haven’t issued the warning. . . . . . . I am very happy to be proven wrong of course :-)
