This is Our Creator God

“Here is your God!” Isaiah 40:9b

Thus begins one of the great Bible passages of truth and teaching. Here indeed is our God. Creator of all things who was and is and evermore shall be.

“Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, or with the breadth of his hand marked off the heavens?” Isaiah 40:12

God alone has done this. Praise His holy Name.

“Who has held the dust of the earth in a basket, or weighed the mountains on the scales and the hills in a balance?” Isaiah 40:12

God alone has done this. All glory to God, and to Him alone.

“Who can fathom the Spirit of the Lord, or instruct the Lord as his counsellor?” Isaiah 40:13

No-one can do this. Thank you wonderful Lord.

“Whom did the Lord consult to enlighten him, and who taught him the right way?” Isaiah 40:13

No-one was consulted. Grace, mercy, and justice are yours Lord.

“Who was it that taught him knowledge, or showed him the path of understanding?” Isaiah 40:14

No-one taught Him. All knowledge and power are yours too Lord.

“Surely the nations are like a drop in a bucket; they are regarded as dust on the scales; he weighs the islands as though they were fine dust.” Isaiah 40:12-15

How can we measure the finite against the infinite? How can we define eternity? To God be all the Glory both now and for ever. Amen.

I read this passage and I just want to give glory praise and honour. I read it and I want to worship Him.

What a mighty, wonderful God we serve. \o/
