That’s Demonic
One
of the great controversies of today’s church is that which continues to rage
around the subject of demons. According to some, there are no such things as
real demons. According to others, a Christian cannot have a demon. According to
still others, the demonic and any associated ministry died out with the first
church. Despite all of this “evidence”, ask any kid about the characters, the
baddies in their computer games!
Much
of this current attitude comes back to the churches who announced to the entire
media their declining or even defunct belief in anyone as bad as Satan actually
existing. Having said that, much also comes from the rebellion of unbelief too.
I
wonder why so many churches have insufficient belief to the extent that there
is no deliverance ministry in their church. Oh, how the enemy must laugh at
that and rub his hands in glee at the thought of virtually no opposition. If
the church would only have a teaching session on the subject then many of the
demons would simply flee. As in James 4:7, “Submit yourselves, then, to God.
Resist the devil, and he will flee
from you.” Teaching and applying God’s truth is in complete accord with this
word and by teaching it, the enemy will flee – he has to.
We
humans, created beings that we are, have three realms – spirit, soul, and
flesh. Demons can no more enter the human spirit than they can enter heaven
because that is where Holy Spirit resides in us – in our spirit. Neither can
any demon enter the human soul after the saving, purifying Blood of the Lamb
has been applied to our soul at salvation. It is in our un-crucified and
un-surrendered flesh that demons can attach themselves and become a nuisance to
us. Despite the heart-rending cries of those who don’t believe it, it is my
opinion that 99 people out of every 100 in any church have demons of one kind
or another – including pastors and leaders!!
So
what are we to do about all of this? Well start resisting the enemy for a
start. By simply teaching a little of this in a non-threatening, non-alarmist
way, and by simply creating an awareness of these things, we start protecting
ourselves. Nehemiah knew what he was saying when he called on the workers
around the walls of Jerusalem to be armed and ready for opposition. Likewise we
need to be armed and ready (Ephesians 6:10-18), because truly, this battle is
not against flesh and blood but against principalities and powers of Satan’s
demonic world, and he will fight us every inch of the way.
But
we still have the victory. We will always overcome. Satan and all his hosts are
created beings fighting and warring against their creator and against us.
Jesus, the Son of God, achieved at Calvary what no man was ever going to
achieve – deliverance from the wiles of our fallen enemy, Satan.
It’s
an ongoing battle against God’s enemies. Come and join us. Learn your enemy’s
tactics, strengths and weaknesses - and fight back.
I agree with you Sir... Prayer and fasting will help as well to fight the battle but Praise God for He said that the battle is in Him and victory is ours... May God will not only bless you with a longer life but also good health, peace and joy.....
