Prophesies of End Times
“Get ready! Jesus is coming soon! You see,
the 'man of lawlessness' that will lead the one-world government cannot be
revealed until the One who restrains him has been removed from the earth. 'The
restrainer' is the Holy Spirit. And since the Holy Spirit dwells in all true
believers, to remove Him from the earth means we must be removed, also. That's
what we call the 'Rapture.' “ – Hal Lindsey Media Ministries 1 March 2013
I
am not alone in saying these things and I just thought that Hal Lindsey’s very
brief description and walk through of Biblical prophecy is such a succinct one
that it bears repeating again and again. The Church needs to re-read their
hand-book with an open mind. People need to start believing their Bible.
Christendom needs to wake up to what is happening around them. The Bible is
full of prophecies and descriptions of what we call ‘end times’ events. It goes
into quite a lot of detail too.
Earthquakes,
famine, great fires, storms – all these things are prophesied. Moral decline,
false teaching, apostasy – these too. And as if these are not enough, there is
even stuff about how depraved and lawless man will become. Just look at the world
a little closer and you will see all of these things.
Isn’t
it time we started to treat the Word of God as though it really is the Word of
God instead of picking a word here or a verse there and building whole
denominations upon that very shallow and shifting ground? The Word of God is
His written immutable word. It doesn’t change. It isn’t wrong. It does not lie.
We say that we believe that God is truth and that He cannot lie or contradict
Himself. So why do we not believe what He says in His Word? Does His Word somehow
detract from Him? Is it somehow less because it’s written down?
Whatever
the answers to all of this, both Gods Word and world events are all lining up
to show that we are indeed in the ‘end of times’ and that this ’rapture’ will indeed happen very soon – when Jesus
returns in the clouds to collect His Bride. The Bride is us, the church. Don’t
leave it too long before you read these things. Don’t then cast them to one
side with some excuse or another. The Word of God is more a promise than
anything – a promise of things to come. It is also a warning for us to be
prepared and ready for His coming.
Being
prepared isn’t just a motto any more – its a command from the King of Kings and
Lord of Lords to His followers to be prepared for His coming to collect us, His
Bride. Are you ready? Are you prepared?
Just
do it.
